L&T's Infrastructure Independent Company focuses in India and overseas on Roads & Runways, Bridges, Metros & Ports, Hydel, Nuclear & Defence projects. For its Engineering Design & Research Centre based at Chennai, L&T requires Design Engineers in the following areas:
Bridges
Qualifications: M.Tech/ M.E. (Structures) / B.E. (Civil).
Experience: Analysis using latest software. Design and detailing of steel/ concrete bridges/ elevated metros. Good knowledge in IS/ IRC/ IRS codes and MORTH specifications. Exposure to international codes, an advantage.
Highways
Qualifications: M. Tech / M.Tech (Transportation)
Experience: Road design of NH and SH projects and interchanges. Should be familiar with geometric design, traffic analysis and cost estimates. Familiar with IRC, AASHTO codes and MORTH guidelines. Must have working knowledge in highway design software like MX road.
Pavements
Qualifications: M.Tech / M.E. (Transportation)
Experience: Design of road pavements (flexible and rigid) for NH/SHOULD road projects including appropriate design / rehabilitation / strengthening of pavements. They should have knowledge and understanding of IRC, AASHTO standards and other international best practices in design, construction and maintenance of flexible / rigid pavements.
For all posts
Experience should range from 3 to 12 years.
Most positions are based at our HQ/ Chennai, although candidates should be willing to relocate to major project sites pan-India.
